Terms of Use
What using the site means
Reading Oberstufeninformatik means you accept these terms as the ground rules for using material about computer science teaching, Java and databases. They are short on purpose. Questions can go to [email protected].
Educational information, not official guidance
Articles offer general teaching and programming information and personal judgement. They are not an official syllabus, an exam board ruling or a promise about grades. Check your own curriculum and school requirements before relying on a lesson plan. Code and SQL examples are provided to illustrate ideas: test them in a safe environment, never run them against a live school database or real student records, and keep backups before experimenting with commands that delete or alter data.
Ownership
The articles, diagrams and original code listings belong to the operator unless stated otherwise. Teachers may use short extracts in class with the source named, and readers may share links freely. Wholesale copying, republishing in course packs for sale or any commercial reuse requires written permission.
Reasonable use
Do not scrape the site at a rate that slows it down, probe it for weaknesses, upload malicious code or use its examples to build tools for cheating on assessments or attacking databases you do not own. Requests that disrupt the site or other readers may be declined.
What you send us
When you submit a correction, a code fix or a topic idea, you confirm you have the right to share it. We may use the substance of it to improve an article, and we are not committed to answering, naming you or printing your wording.
Links, sponsorship and outside resources
Articles may point to documentation, textbooks, development tools, learning platforms and database software that teachers and students might want to explore. Those sites are outside the control of Oberstufeninformatik, so before you install a tool or follow a tutorial there, check that it suits your Java version and your school’s rules. If the site ever carries advertising, sponsorship or affiliate links, that will be stated clearly and will not alter what an article concludes.
Warranties and liability
The site is provided as it is. As far as the law permits, the operator does not guarantee that articles or code are error-free, complete or always available, and is not liable for loss resulting from using an example or relying on an explanation, including lost files or data. Rights you hold under mandatory law, and liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, remain unaffected.
Changes and severability
We may update these terms or the site whenever needed, and the revised version applies once it is posted. If a provision is found unenforceable, the others continue to apply.
